pub enum NotificationProcessSetup {
MultipleProcesses,
SingleProcess {
sync_service: Arc<SyncService>,
},
}
Expand description
What kind of process setup do we have for this notification client?
Variants§
MultipleProcesses
The notification client may run on a separate process than the rest of the app.
For instance, this is the case on iOS, where notifications are handled in a separate process (the Notification Service Extension, aka NSE).
In that case, a cross-process lock will be used to coordinate writes into the stores handled by the SDK.
SingleProcess
The notification client runs in the same process as the rest of the
Client
performing syncs.
For instance, this is the case on Android, where a notification will wake up the main app process.
In that case, a smart reference to the SyncService
must be provided.
